NATA Championship: 2024 Announcement

NATA: 2024 Presents More Opportunities to Win

Who’s the best of the best in time attack? That’s just what the NATA Championship seeks to once again answer, with a points championship that runs across the three major sanctioning bodies of the sport: Gridlife, Global Time Attack and SCCA.

This year the schedule of offerings expands to six events at marquee tracks across the U.S. However, only a racer’s best three performances will count toward the championship.

Furthermore, points will be based on a 100-point scale. Let us explain. The driver with the overall fastest lap time in their class will earn 100 points. For the rest of the field, their points will be calculated by dividing their time by the overall top time (in seconds). For example, if the top time is 120.000, a driver with a best time of 119.000 would receive 99.16 points (119.000/120.000=99.16).

Classing remains the same, with it being based solely on tire choice. The Small 200tw Tire class applies to cars running tires less than or equal to 255mm on the indicated section width. The Large 200tw Tire class are for cars more than 255mm. And the Unlimited class is just what it sounds like–anything goes as far as tires.

To compete, racers must register and carry NATA decals. You can register by visiting natachampionship.com. NATA decals will be available at any of the NATA Championship races.
